In the quilting mood
I know it has been a while since I have been on here -this is what I have been up to:
I have recently finished two quilts - I have a daughter-in-law who is expecting and not finding out what the sex of the baby will be until he/she is born, so I have had to cover both bases. Here they are.

My cousin is missing
Donna told me that Sheila's daughter Kathleen has been missing for over a week. I sent an email to Sheila and got this response from her:
Hi Elaine,
Thank you for your concern! Kathleen has been missing since October 27th. She was on her way to work. Her truck wasn't located until Friday. I've been in contact with her case detective. It doesn't look too good... but we keep praying and hoping that she will be found all safe and sound!
If you google her name: "Kathleen McBroom" Anchorage, you'll be able to see all the news reports about her case. Kathleen had a wonderful blog too. It's called "sogratefultobemormon". If you just google that, you'll be able to read all about her and some of her friends. One picture looks like a mug hot but there's a pretty picture of her in a yellow jacket. Please ask your family to pray for my precious Kathleen's safe return home. Thank you for your concern.
Love,Sheila
I googled Kathleen McBroom and found several articles and blogs regarding her disappearance. It seems she was driving to work on Oct. 27th and pulled over because she was tired. An officer saw her and asked her what she was doing and she said she was going to take a nap in her truck. When he came back to check on her, the truck was still there but she was gone. Please pray for her safe return home.

Good Weekend
We had a really great Halloween - we ate pizza and played games while doling out candy. Tami and Bill came down with Little Natalie - she was dressed in a cute tiger costume. Shelly dressed as Wednesday Addams - she looked great. Saturday was my birthday. We went shopping and I bought a couple of dvds and then we went to dinner after.

To Begin With
So let me back up a little. I have felt like I need to write more in a journal, and I decided that doing a blog might help me a little with that. This past week has been somewhat focused on my daughter when she went in to early labor at 33 weeks and as a result gave birth to her baby last Friday as I said in the previous post. Most of the rest of us (the ones who live in Utah) got together at Josh's house tonight for a family dinner. It was really nice to visit and catch up on everyone's lives and see the grandkids. We had spaghetti (Laura's special sauce) fabulous, by the way, salad and garlic bread. It was a nice evening. When I got home I saw the new pictures and video of Vicki's family from their blog. That baby is so cute!
